FutureLA

FutureLA

FutureLA is a series of open-ended conversations from a group of leading thinkers from design, art, science, and media about life in the contemporary city. In different but compelling ways, the work of each of these individuals helps us better understand the pleasures and frustrations of living an urban life, and asks questions that challenge the way we see and think about the city. Each conversation is structured around a broad theme but all will explore how fundamental values like openness and access help shape our experience of Los Angeles and give cities everywhere their vitality and meaning.

The most recent FutureLA event comprised a panel on the state of contemporary culture, with MAD Architects discussing their forthcoming Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, and the Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (ICA LA), discussing their new home in the Arts District designed by wHY, which also recently renovated the new Marciano Art Foundation.

OHLA has partnered with NeueHouse, whose Rockwell Group-designed, restored and landmarked International Style campus in Hollywood will serve as host for this series.
